Step into the bold and tactile world of printmaking in this ‘Shapes of Life’ drawing and linocut workshops led by Irish artist Daire Lynch. Working with pencil and charcoal, this immersive session invites participants to explore the fundamental shapes that underpin the world around us—from the human figure to organic and abstract forms. Afterwards, discover the art of carving away to reveal—where each cut shapes the final image and every mark carries intention. Participants will be guided to carve and print their own linocut artwork, embracing both precision and spontaneity in the process. Suitable for beginners and those with experience alike, The workshops offer a rewarding exploration of contrast, texture, and the beauty of creating through removal.

Artwork supplies provided but bring your own pencils if you prefer.

About Dáire

Dáire Lynch is a Dublin born artist who currently resides in West Cork, Ireland. His primary subject matter is the human , both in form and the intricate nature of their emotions and interactions with the world around them. With a boundless reverence for life and the human form, he has birthed a world where the nuances of humanity are brought to the forefront and propose an emotive journey to the viewer. He is a self taught painter. He is also a qualified sound engineer and multi instrumentalist. When not painting or creating, he can be found in the wilds of Connemara, be it woods, lakes, or the powerful Atlantic Ocean.
