Beethoven epic piano concertos are showcased by Irish Chamber Orchestra and Spanish Pianist Javier Perianes.  In Piano Concertos Nos 1 and 3 there is a loveliness and elegance that demonstrates Beethoven as the composer who radically led the way towards the Romantic era that was to follow.  It’s a coming-of-age story. Piano Concerto 1 reflects the work of a young man eager to make his mark on the music world with its thunderous opening cords.  Whereas Piano Concerto 3 is the music of an emerging giant stepping from his youthful period towards ingenuity and deafness.  The classical style with delicate and ornamental features is replaced with a powerfully rousing melody.  Don’t miss out on ICO’s journey with Beethoven.
