P.J. & Paula Murrihy & Family
P.J. Murrihy is an Irish singer/songwriter from Mullagh, Co. Clare. He came to national prominence in the late 1980’s with a song called Pat Murphy’s Meadow which remained in the top 30 Irish Charts for eight weeks. To date, songs written by P.J. have been recorded by a number of prominent artists.
P.J is known for many songs over the years including My Father’s House, The Old Thrashing Mill, Land of the Gael, Brosna Town and his own compositions, Life in the Auld Dog Yet, Sell The Pig and Drawing Little Men in the Ashes.
P.J. will be joined on the night by his son Seamus and his daughters Moira and Maeve, all of whom sing and play a wide range of musical instruments. P.J. will also be joined by his brother John, who loves to sing. John is dad to Paula, Sinead and Claire, who will join in on the singing. Having lived in Tralee for a number of years, John is well-known in Siamsa Tire.
