Meet Our Cowardly Lion!

Conor O’Sullivan as The Cowardly Lion 2025

Introducing Conor O’Sullivan as our Cowardly Lion.

A Round of ‘A Paws’ for our Cowardly Lion, Conor O’Sullivan. He may be fierce on the outside but he’s really just a big, cuddly kitten. We had to coax him out of the bushes to make the video below, so make sure you give him lots of enCOURAGEment on our social media pages!

Conor is no stranger when it comes to the Siamsa Tíre stage. He was a member of The Oliver Hurley School of Musical Theatre from a young age and has played many parts such as Prince Charming in the Christmas pantos. He has partaken in Tralee Musical Society’s productions of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, ‘Ghost the Musical’ and played one of the comedic thugs ‘Joey’ in their production of ‘Sister Act’ .

He has also performed with the Light Opera Society of Tralee in shows such as ‘Evita’ and performed the role of ‘Firmin’ in ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. He also has appeared in many school shows with Mercy Mounthawk playing roles such as ‘Zeke’ in ‘High School Musical’ and ‘John proctor’ in ‘The Crucible’. Most recently he took on the role of ‘The Scarecrow’ in their production of ‘The Wiz’ for which he won bronze awards in the ‘Best of Ireland Awards’ for comedy and vocals and was also nominated for   ‘ Best comedian’ in the AIMS Schools Programme. He cannot wait to portray the iconic role of the Cowardly Lion and says he hopes he doesn’t get stage fright (if he only had some courage!!).

We wish Conor the very best of luck and look forward to a magical adventure down the Yellow Brick Road with him.
