Ag Samhlú Saoil Eile | Imagining An Other World

How does Irish language and myth about the Otherworld, and the role of nature within it, speak to us in a time of environmental crisis? This three-part workshop series with bilingual collective Scaoilte Theatre uses theatre and storytelling to awaken these words and stories, and use them to imagine our own ‘other worlds’, of living in tune with our ecosystems. The finished piece of work will be recorded and screened at the opening night of Lasta Festival 2026 at the gallery in Siamsa Tíre. Participants and their guests are welcome to attend to enjoy their finished work on display!
Attendance at all three workshops is encouraged. Bígí linn! This project is funded by Creative Ireland and Kerry County Council under the Creative Communities Fund.
