Narrators of Joseph Look Forward to Sharing the Story

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat 

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi award-winning show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been performed hundreds of thousands of times including multiple runs in the West End and on Broadway, international tours in over 80 countries worldwide and has become one of the world’s most beloved family musicals.

Featuring much loved pop and musical theatre classics, including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go, Go, Go Joseph. Don’t miss this summer spectacle full of music, dance, fabulous costumes and of course…that famous coat of many colours!

The talented cast and chorus from across the county are enjoying the rehearsals with award winning director Oliver Hurley, vocal coach and Choral Director for Killarney’s ‘Stronger Together Choir’ Sorcha O’Connor, and professional dancer/teacher Justin Walsh.

Cast Announcement:

The role of the Narrators will be played by: Sharon Walsh and Katie Anne Harris

Sharon Walsh: Sharon is from the well-known musical Lynch family in Tralee. She first performed on stage at the tender age of seven with Tralee Musical Society and is also a community cast member with Siamsa Tíre since childhood. One of the many highlights of her stage career was in 2002 when she won ‘Best Supporting Actress’ award at AIMS for her role as Mary Magdalene in Tralee Musical Society’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Sharon is thrilled to be playing the part of one of the Narrators as it is a role she always dreamed of playing. She is extremely honoured to be sharing the stage with so many talented people including her brothers, nieces and nephews and of course her son Nathan who is part of the children’s chorus. 

Katie Anne Harris: Katie-Anne Harris, a performer from Tralee, is a recent graduate having studied a BA in Musical Theatre at Cork School of Music. Recent credits in training include: ‘Angie Morton’ in Our House (Christine Scarry, The Everyman Theatre Cork, 2024), ‘Pugsley Addams’ in The Addams Family (Christine Scarry, The Everyman Theatre Cork, 2023), and Ensemble in the musical revue, Steppin’ Out (BA Musical Theatre, Cork Opera House 2022).

Upon entry to Cork School of Music, Katie-Anne received the top audition scholarship when beginning her studies. She is also the 2023 recipient of the Deirdre ‘Dee’ Moloney Carter bursary for performance through AIMS. Katie-Anne has also performed in the ensemble of Liz Callaways recent concert The Wizard and I, celebrating Stephen Schwartz, (David Hayes, Curtis Auditorium, 2023).
