We are currently running two types of dance classes starting in May 2026
6 Week Musical Theatre Adult Dance Fitness Classes
6 Week Jig Fit – Adult Irish Dance Classes
I have no dance experience, can I still join?
Yes, of course! Our dance classes cater for all levels from beginner to intermediate, so there really is a class suitable for everyone. Please click on the events above to view the different class levels available.
Who’s teaching the classes?
Each class will be led by professional dancer/teacher and Siamsa Tíre’s Community Engagement Manager Justin Walsh. Justin has a long history with Irish dance having performed with Siamsa Tíre since the age of seven to touring the world with Michael Flatley in Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Celtic Tiger and Feet of Flames.
Where are the classes taking place?
Classes take place in the rehearsal studio at Siamsa Tíre, Tralee, so you will be treading on the same boards as many of our professional dancers and even some celebrities!
Our state of the art dance studio features full mirrors and a sprung floor.
Access to the rehearsal room studio is via the car park entrance of the building.
What are the dates/times of the classes?
Dates and times of each class can be found by clicking the links to each class above.
What is the duration of the class?
Each class will last 1 hour.
How much do the classes cost?
Classes are €90+bf for a 6 week term.
What age group are the adult dance classes for?
Our adult dance classes are for all adults over the age of 18 years.
Do I need a dance partner?
No partner or dance experience is necessary, if you have a friend that’s interested, bring them along, but remember, each class has a limited capacity so the sooner they book, the more chance they will have of securing a place in the same class.
What are the different levels?
Our dance classes offer two levels, one for complete beginners and another for returning participants. Please click on the events above to view the different class levels available.
How many students are in the class?
There is a limited capacity of 30 students in each class, this ensures that each student has plenty of floor space and gains maximum benefit from the lesson. If a class is fully booked, please contact our Box Office to be placed on a waiting list.
What should I wear/bring?
We recommend to wear loose comfortable leisure wear such as sports leggings, tracksuits, shorts, t-shirts and runners or dance shoes.
You should also bring a bottle of water and lots of enthusiasm!
Do I need professional dance shoes?
No. If you have dance shoes, you are welcome to wear them but you don’t have to, comfortable runners will be adequate.
Are there toilets available?
Yes, of course. Toilet facilities are available for all of our visitors.
