Le Chéile
'Le Chéile' by Tubrid Studios 22nd Jan - 21st Feb 2026
Siamsa Tíre was delighted to present Le Chéile, an exhibition celebrating twenty years of creativity, community, and artistic exploration at Tubrid Studios, Ardfert.
The anniversary showcase brought together an inspiring collection of paintings, pottery, and glass work created by teenagers and adults who took part in the studio’s workshops and classes over the past two years. Every piece told a story of imagination, and the joy of making art.
Many of the artworks were inspired by the breath-taking beauty of the Kerry landscape. Visitors were treated to echoes of the wild Atlantic coast and luminous skies captured through rich colours, expressive textures, and thoughtful design.
Whether you love art, nature, or simply discovering something new, this exhibition offered a fresh and inspiring way to experience the landscape we all know and cherish through the artist's eyes.
What truly set Le Chéile apart is the sense of community behind it. Tubrid Studios has welcomed people of all ages for two decades, creating a friendly, creative space where beginners and returning artists alike can explore their talent. The exhibition’s title, Le Chéile, meaning “together”, captured the heart of the studio: a place where creativity is shared, celebrated, and encouraged.
As part of the exhibition, a percentage of all artwork sales was donated to St Vincent de Paul, supporting individuals and families in need within the local community.
Whether you're an art lover, a supporter of local creativity, or simply looking for an inspiring day out, Le Chéile was a celebration not to be missed. Those who visited experienced the colour, warmth, and imagination that have made Tubrid Studios a cherished creative home for twenty years.
The exhibition was officially officially opened at 6pm on Weds 21st January by Kerry GAA Snr Team Captain Joe O’Connor (painter at Tubrid Studios).
