This summer, THISISPOPBABY and Emer Dineen are bringing the heartfelt, raucous, five-star musical extravaganza 0800-CUPID back to Irish stages for a six-venue tour. 0800 CUPID is one part drag cabaret, one part theatre show, one part musical ode to Emer’s father, a former actor. The heart of the show is Emer’s relationship with her Dad, caring for him and realising that the connection she craves in life is already in front of her. In many ways, it transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary and the personal into the universal, highlighting the theatrical qualities of everyday life.

Sadly, Emer’s dear father passed away in April 2026, just before rehearsals were due to begin. The tour is dedicated to Emer’s dad, Denis, or Peter, his acting name, who performed in the very same Irish theatres we are touring to. In his memory, the production is also proud to be partnering with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland and Engaging Dementia to raise awareness and funds in support of their vital work.
