Free Workshop! Cultural Dance Celebration presented by UNDERCURRENT

PASSINHO….HIP HOP….AFRICAN DANCE…. SEAN NOS and more…

A fun workshop and dance share event open to all ages. Come and join us for this intergenerational and intercultural event celebrating the joy of community and culture! No previous experience needed. All welcome!
THE WORKSHOP…Fun inclusive meet & greet warm up games, are followed by African, Hip Hop & Passinho dance introductory sessions. For the last part of the workshop, we are lead through some Irish Sean Nos technique followed by a circle dance. The event closes with a Cultural Dance Share open floor for facilitators
and participants to share their favourite dance styles and cultural heritage.
MIXING IT UP! Bring a tune for your dance! Participants are welcome to bring a cultural dance style of their own to share at the end of workshop.

Workshop Schedule:

• 11-11.15 Arrive, meet & greet- warm up games with Kate(Undercurrent Performance)
• 11.15-11.50 Southside African Dance with Cynthia
• 11.50-12pm BREAK- take a breath and drink some water!!
• 12-12.35 Hip hop and Passinho with Josué
• 12.35-12.45 BREAK- take a breath and drink some water!!
• 12.45-1pm Sean Nos steps & closing circle dance with August
• 1pm-1.30pm CULTURAL DANCE SHARE open floor.
