Film: The Secret of Kells

The Dublin International Film Festival is delighted to bring the DIFF Irish Film Campus Tour to Siamsa Tíre in partnership with Munster Technological University, Kerry. Designed to connect students, aspiring filmmakers and local audiences with some of Ireland’s most celebrated films, the Campus Tour showcases stories that have captivated audiences both at home and around the world.

The programme includes The Secret of Kells, the Academy Award®-nominated animated feature from Cartoon Saloon. Inspired by Irish mythology and medieval art, this visually breath-taking film has become one of the defining works of contemporary Irish animation.

Next up are a curated selection of Irish short films, showcasing emerging voices and the breadth of filmmaking talent currently working across Ireland.

Completing the programme is Sing Street, John Carney’s joyful coming-of-age musical set in 1980s Dublin. Filled with unforgettable original music and heart, the film follows a teenager who forms a band in pursuit of creativity, friendship and first love, and has become a modern Irish classic.
