National Heritage Week: Retaining Memory in Paper
by
30 30 people viewed this event.
As part of National Heritage Week, discover the stories held within the objects we treasure with artist Gráinne Mulligan. In this hands-on workshop, Gráinne will share her drawing techniques and invite participants to bring along a meaningful family object — perhaps a piece of crochet or lace, crockery, a quilt or another treasured keepsake — as inspiration for creating their own drawings.
Explore how drawing can capture the details, memories and stories woven into our family heritage, creating a lasting record of the objects and traditions that connect us to the past.
Bring a treasured object, bring your memories, and turn them into art but items will be available if required. Drawing supplies provided or you can bring your own preferred drawing materials.
Free event open to all ages | Places are limited — booking essential.
