Amano is a singer and multidisciplinary artist with roots in Kerry and Kyūshū (Japan). Her live performances attune to people, place and season, blending Irish sean-nós with contemporary fusion, new folk compositions and spoken word.

She approaches music through an animistic worldview where the songs and stories of tradition are co-created and alive; not only in our human experiences but within the greater-than-human ecosystem too.

About Lasta Festival: Lasta is an annual, nationwide, festival of events programmed by young people for young people supported by the NASC Network of venues. It features theatre, music, dance, visual art, and film. The festival typically runs throughout October across partner venues nationwide, this year’s Lasta Festival takes place Thurs 1st to Sun 4th October 2026. The eight Lasta venues are; An Grianán Theatre (Letterkenny), Backstage Theatre (Longford), Dunamaise Arts Centre (Portlaoise), glór (Ennis), Lime Tree Theatre (Limerick), Pavilion Theatre (Dún Laoghaire),  Siamsa Tíre (Tralee) and Town Hall Theatre (Galway)
