Siamsa Tíre is committed to good governance and the organisation complies with all regulatory requirements and operates in accordance with its constitution available here. Siamsa Tíre is open, honest and fully transparent in its fundraising activities. We are formally committed to comply with the Statement of Guiding Principles of Good Fundraising developed by Irish Charities Tax Research Ltd (ICTR). Siamsa Tíre adheres to and is compliant with the Charities Governance Code and our Board of Directors reviews our governance code on a yearly basis.

Chairman: Seán Murphy is founder, owner and managing director of Murphy’s Ice Cream, a food brand based in Dingle, County Kerry with outlets across the country. He has 20 years’ experience in experienced-based sales environments, speciality artisan food manufacturing and provenance driven consumer marketing. Particular areas of expertise: Business and Marketing. Appointed:04/03/2021

Lisa McElligott is a lecturer with the Dept of Creative Media and Information Technology in Munster Technological University (formerly Institute of Technology, Tralee). She has a background in Visual Arts. Particular areas of expertise: Digital Technology, the Third Level Education sector. Appointed: 20/04/2017.
Kieran Corcoran is a professional Accountant working in banking and insurance sectors in strategic and operational roles with a focus on business planning and financial control. Kieran holds other board roles in the credit union and private equity sectors. Particular areas of expertise: Finance and Risk. Appointed: 04/03/2021.
Ellen Cranitch is a presenter, producer and composer. Ellen is a flute player, composer and award winning broadcaster with RTE LyricFM. She has been active as a music educator, on the boards of Music Generation and the RIAM and was for five years the artistic director of Galway Jazz Festival. Appointed 25/7/2023

Rebekah Wall is an artist, teacher and business owner in Tralee town. Her own practice centres on social engagement, bringing communities of various backgrounds together and individuals within varying disciplines to the one table. When she's not teaching in the classroom, Rebekah can be found in Madden's creative hub where she runs cultural events, arts festivals and music nights, in a space founded by and run for artists alike.
Dr Daithí Kearney, ethnomusicologist, geographer and touring performer including Siamsa Tíre. He lectures in music, theatre and tourism and is co-director of the Creative Arts Research Centre at Dundalk Institute of Technology. A UCC graduate, his research is primarily focused on Irish traditional music and folk theatre. He has released two albums in collaboration with other traditional artists. Daithí received the DkIT President’s Prize for Established Researcher in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (2023) and a Bardic Award from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann for contribution to Irish traditional music.
John Griffin, recently retired as County Tourism Officer following 40 years service with Kerry County Council. He has helped make Kerry one of the most iconic tourism destinations in Ireland and has been associated with the development of some of the county's most iconic visitor attractions, including Blennerville Windmill and Steam Railway, the restoration of Ardfert Cathedral, Kerry County Museum and Geraldine Experience and the Jeanie Johnston Famine Ship Project. He also played a key role in the development of the Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre, Tralee Rose Memorial and Rose Wall, Dominican and Kerry GAA Memorial, Kerry Dark Skies and, most recently, the Valentia Transatlantic Cable UNESCO Project.
