Meet Daidí na Nollag (Santa) at Siamsa Tíre

Santa

This year sees Santa Claus (Daidí na Nollag) coming to Tralee and visiting Siamsa Tíre, for the first time, for a traditional Irish Christmas experience for all the family.

Opening on Friday 1st December and running right through to Saturday 23rd December, Siamsa na Nollag takes you on a festive adventure, guided by Robin, Santa’s Little Helper. Families will learn about traditional Irish Christmas customs as they join Robin, meeting friends along the way, to find the magic word that opens a magical door to meet Daidí na Nollag in his Christmas cottage.

Enjoy the magic of a traditional Christmas and don’t forget to take plenty of photos with Santa for a family memory that will last forever!  All children receive a gift bag and children under two are free.

“We have been planning to invite Daidí na Nollag to Siamsa for a while and we wanted to make sure it was a unique celebration of our traditional Irish Christmas customs. We are looking forward to sharing this magical experience with our local community and visitors to Kerry and hope they enjoy it as much as we are the preparations – we can’t wait to welcome Santa and his helpers!” comments Jonathan Kelliher, Artistic Director, Siamsa Tire, The National Folk Theatre of Ireland

Embrace the excitement as fairy lights twinkle and your family is taken on a journey back to a time where Christmas and its Irish traditions were about creating magical memories together. This experience is both indoors and briefly outdoors. Soak up the festive atmosphere in the comfort of Siamsa Tire and believe in the magic!

Siamsa na Nollag is part of Tralee Chamber Alliance and Kerry County Council’s Christmas in Tralee programme which invites people across the county and nationwide to enjoy the festivities with Christmas markets, entertainment and much more in Tralee – further details to be announced soon

Tralee Chamber CEO Colette O’Connor said, “We are thrilled that Siamsa Tire is bringing the Santa Claus (Daidí na Nollag) experience to Tralee, adding a unique touch of Irish tradition to the Christmas festivities this year. Siamsa na Nollag is a wonderful addition to our ‘Christmas in Tralee’ programme and not only promises to spread festive cheer but also offers an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the season in a truly unique and meaningful way.
