Meet Sandy & Danny!

We’re delighted to introduce the leading couple in this summer’s production of *Grease* at Siamsa Tíre. Taking on the role of sweet-hearted Sandy is Jayda Kahraman, while Jerry Lynch steps into the leather jacket of Danny Zuko. Both are familiar faces on the local musical theatre scene, having recently appeared in *West Side Story*, and they’re ready to bring all the romance, laughs, drama and rock ‘n’ roll energy of Rydell High to the Siamsa Tíre stage this August.

Jayda Kahraman is thrilled to be playing the role of Sandy. Debuting her first leading role as Cinderella with Oliver Hurley’s Stage School in 2022, her passion for theatre has only evolved since. She recently portrayed the role of Maria in Bernstein’s “West Side Story”, a production of the Light Opera Society of Tralee in 2025, the previous year, taking the role as a “Soul Sister” in the society’s production of “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Vocally trained by Aidan O’ Carroll, she has a background in classical singing, as well as contemporary vocal training in which she has 10+ years of experience. A qualified Pilates and Yoga teacher, her time offstage is spent instructing classes in local areas with RISE Pilates & Yoga, her wellness business.

Jerry Lynch is delighted to be taking on the iconic role of Danny Zuko in this year’s production of Grease with Siamsa Tíre. Although this is his first leading role, Jerry has previously appeared as Riff in West Side Story and Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, alongside a variety of other ensemble performances. He is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play such a memorable character and would like to thank the production team, cast, and everyone involved for their support throughout rehearsals. Jerry hopes audiences enjoy the show as much as the cast has enjoyed bringing it to life.
